But, well, the continuous singing in my head sort of precludes that. I've noticed before that Askani's people--the Askani, whatever you want to call them, sing a lot. Before now I hadn't been able to understand them, except in the heat of a vision. Now I can sit here and translate the words in my head into English.

I suppose I should be taking advantage. I mean, music? Very illuminating about the culture that produced it and all. Except I'm not really in the mood for analysing their campfire songs at the moment. What I want to do right now is line them all up and shoot them. I wish this connection I seem to have to them worked both ways, at least. Maybe I'll sit here and start screaming "Shut up!" in their general vicinity, just to see if it works. Can't hurt to try.
