So, tomorrow.
Mar. 14th, 2007 06:40 pmI don't know if any of you had heard this, but Istvan Barath, the Minister of Mutant Affairs from Hungary, is going to be speaking at the United Nations on the aftermath of the bombing in his country back in February. I'm going to be there, of course, and I feel safe in saying that I will probably be taking some guests with me. Not more than a couple, though - we have invitations because hey, we got blown up too, but not that many - so I'm afraid I can't make this an impromptu field trip. Plus my migraine is growing just at the thought.
But I'd just like to encourage those of you who are interested in current affairs to at least watch the speech. A lot of you probably remember his speech after Smichov, where he raked the Czech Republic over the coals with the whole world watching. This speech promises to be at least as interesting.
Although I've heard that a number of groups are planning demonstrations at the UN tomorrow before and during his speech. That's a little worrying. I'm sure security is going to be very tight, but still...

I am watching Mr. Barath when I am being home in Kosovo, after the riots. He is being a very good man, I am thinking. So yes, I am being watching his speech tomorrow on the television.
Mr. Dayspring is to be careful, yes?

My legal status is probably a trifle too new-minted for the comfort of United Nations security, but I'll certainly be watching the television coverage. Aside from all the other good reasons, the Minister's rhetorical flair is generally worth appreciating.
