My turn for the update.
Feb. 18th, 2007 06:50 pmMostly because one of Medusa's clerks just confiscated my work and another put dinner down in front of me. I would like to figure out what kind of training regimen they put these clerks through in Attilan, because they just kind of... do things, and it's creepy. They remind me of Juliette. I would have protested, because in general people who take work away from me need to die. But it was just gone, and then there was dinner. Which does not include any glowing jello, so I'm not adverse to investigating further.
Rahne, Bobby, if you see this, Joel's on a plane - again - and will probably be checking in with you in the morning. Don't be surprised if he doesn't look at all tired, I think he has a secret stash of caffeine pills. Which he refused to share, the bastard.
Everyone else... everyone else here is doing okay, more or less. Barring unforeseen complications, everyone in the hospital's going to make it. We may even have a couple of them home within the next few days. That would be a good thing, because I'm sure everyone who was ever involved with the infirmary at the school remembers my bad habits, and all of my friends from Mistra are the exact same way if not worse. I've already had to have little chats with a couple of nurses, who were surprisingly understanding.
We've had press lurking, still. Not just at the hospital, but around the house. They really need to stop lurking like vultures or I'm going to sic Theo on them. That's if I don't decide they need to wake up in the middle of Gaza City painted blue and white. And don't anyone ask me if I'm kidding - at this point in the week, I'm honestly not sure.

It is not their training regimen. They were warned notified about your habits. You are correct, though, in the fact that people in Attilan do not consider glowing gelatin as proper food to give to people. Also, thank you for not killing them; no more international incidents need to be started at this point.
Yes, work needs to be done, but you also need to eat and in the absence of the school's mini-army of girls who feed people, the clerks from Attilan are temporarily taking over that job.
I am glad that people are on their way to recovery. Please tell Medusa to check her email later on. I have tried to call her and have been unable to reach her; I know it is late there, but I hope to hear from her soon.

If I find out your sister actually briefed her clerks on me, there will be tossing of her royal self into the Mediterranean. Which is considerably warmer than the lake back at the mansion, so she might actually appreciate the swim.
Or maybe not.

Nathan, I would brief anybody on you whom I intended to bring in to work with you. It seems only fair.

People do not need to be briefed on me. I'm not that difficult to get along with.
... am I?

Absolutely impossible. That's why I spend so little time around you, had you not noticed?

Yeah, I'd wondered about that, but now it all becomes clear...

I would like to see you try. Keep in mind that such an action could spark an international incident - if such an action were even able to occur. Additionally, as Rahne pointed out - it would be a huge oversight to fail to brief anyone on your...unusual work habits.

Yes, but see, I wouldn't actually have to be anywhere near you for you to mysteriously wind up in the Mediterranean. I could be blocks away, and yet there could be whooshing and splashing, and you could never prove a thing.

How interesting. Just like I could be quite a distance away and yet all the files on your desk could mysteriously scurry away. As could any number of other items you enjoying keeping track of - cell phones, car keys, etc. And with a, as you so eloquently put it, "whoosh", they would vanish off into the night. Or day as I am suddenly realizing it has become.

Promises, promise. Come help me call Cambodia and then we should see about breakfast. It's going to be another long day.

You realize it would probably be simpler for both of us to speak to one another rather than use the journal system as a means of communication? Alas, then others would not get to enjoy in our sleep deprived ramblings.
And I agree to breakfast on the condition that I get to choose the location. I think I can still smell the grease from that place you selected yesterday.

Please leave the vultures alone. I think it would confuse matters.
Good for the clerks.
Good for the nurses, too.
I extracted Joel's schedule from him, confiscated the caffeine pills, and had him drink warm milk and lie down for a nap before I gave them back. I think we're going to a funeral tomorrow... er... later today, for you.

I was wondering when those would start...
