We ought to have a support group...
Jun. 19th, 2006 12:58 pmThose of us who've seen dead people while all of this has been going on. I have to wonder how many times it's been someone who really, we're all perfectly happy to recall has shuffled off this mortal coil, and how many times the opposite.
I saw some old friends of mine. In leathers. I'm trying very hard not to play the what-if game but I can't seem to find enough to occupy my mind so that I stop.

Sometimes I think we are just one big support group...though I am now very glad that I saw what I saw instead of some of the things I could have. I am sorry yours took the form it did. If you need someone to talk to, you know where to find me.

Thanks, Marie. But I think distraction's still in order. If I start stewing over all my dead friends I'm liable to wind up more than just temporarily depressed.

Distraction, eh? Well that is also something I am good at...no, the evil giggling you hear in the halls is not me, I swear.

I gave up on work for the afternoon. I think it's a lost cause.

I feel this calls for Harry's.

Raincheck? I really shouldn't drink in this mood.

Soft drinks?

Harry's makes me pensive, soft drinks or no. Definitely a raincheck though, Kurt.

Go beat the crap out of something. Smack Cain around, he likes it.
You'll feel better.

I opted for the heavy bag instead of Cain. The heavy bag doesn't look at me like I just did something funny when I hit it.

Bags don't hit back, and that's half the fun.

I'm sorry. It's true, what-ifs are irrelevant now. Still, after seeing what some of us have seen sometimes it's hard not to wonder.
I would make a suggestion as to a distraction, but, um, after the last one I made it might be better for the good of the school if I stopped trying. (Or at least better for me. I'm sort of afraid of what's going to happen when Scott comes home and finds out what Clarice's new trainee name is.)

I'm counting down the days (or I would be if I knew how many days to count, what with him leaving without a word and all) myself.
Also, I find complex equations nice and distractsoothing.

He said July. So I'm planning on hiring inconvenient men with sinister sunglasses if he's not back by July.

Honey moon's are all well and good, but honestly. You'd think Jean would have at least had some manners.
ICY GLARES ALL AROUND.
(And Caps Lock it seems.)
Except you. Because you're pretty. And make me soup. Is there such thing as apple soup? There should be.

I imagine they thought telling people would jinx it. They may not have been wrong.
Apple soup? Well, there are soups that involve apples. Want to pick one out?

Jinxing is better than icy glaring Paiges. Trust me on this one. Or ask Jono. And Scott and Jean can't randomly make out with me so that I forget I'm mad at them. Or they could but.
So! Apple soup! Sounds like a plan.

But I'm prob'ly biased this week. :)

Some of us, huh? Another member for the support group, I'm taking. (Don't worry, that wasn't actually a question.)
I told Clarice I wasn't calling her by the full name. It's got nothing to do with dignity - it's just too much of a mouthful.
