Meant to do this last night but we got in at some ungodly hour and went right to bed. And then kind of didn't get up until dinner. Oh, well. We're on holidays, right? It was not precisely a hardship to laze around in bed for most of the day. Especially given that walking across the room is still wearing me out.
The weather here is very cold, and there is a very cold and semi-solid something falling from the sky and hitting the windows in the bedroom. I can hear the noise it makes when it hits the glass. Thankfully, there are also several very heavy quilts on the bed and a fire going in the fireplace. Yes, the bedroom has a fireplace. I approve of this wholeheartedly.
It's so quiet. Oddly enough I'm not finding that unsettling, either. Despite the firefight in the halls back in May, this is still home in ways I can't really explain. And I've missed it more than I realized.
